No intracranial communication of the mass is seen and the optic canal is not widened. (b) Axial fat saturated T2 weighted image shows the thin optic nerve stalk joining the right optic nerve at a malformed optic chiasm (arrow). Also noted is the lack of any area of signal loss in the soft tissue mass on fat suppression.
