(a) Contrast-enhanced phase inversion ultrasound scanning 8–22 s (onset of arterial phase) after administration of SonoVue® revealed an hyperechoic hypervascular liver tumour with radial vascular architecture. (b) During the portal venous phase (onset 12–30 s after administration of SonoVue®) a pronounced enhancement could be detected by contrast-enhanced phase inversion ultrasound scanning. Hepatic artery (HA) and portal vein (PV) are indicated.
