The Time-Intensity Factor in Relation to the Genetic Effects of Radiation

H. D. Griffith, B.A.

Aberdeen

K. G. Zimmer, Ph.D.

Berlin

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

The time intensity relation in physiological actions of X rays and {gamma} rays is complicated and very different in different biological test objects. As regards radiologically induced genetic changes, the time factor is unity. The significance of this fact with reference to radiological protection is discussed.

Received for publication October 20, 1934.
