As part of the celebrations to commemorate 100 years of X-rays, the British Journal of Radiology is publishing a series of historical papers. This, the fourth in the series, was published in the October 1934 issue of this Journal.
This classic paper was written jointly by Ralston Paterson (a radiotherapist) and Herbert Parker (a medical physicist) who both worked at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.
