Award of the Röentgen prize to the late Dr N J McNally

The Röentgen prize is awarded this year to the late Dr Nic McNally for his outstanding contributions to the British Journal of Radiology. Indeed, his first publication dealing with the use of mammalian cells as a biological dosi meter for neutron irradiations appeared there in 1969 to be followed over the next 20 years by a further 19 papers in that journal alone.
