This book reports on the proceedings of a meeting held in Washington DC in May 1989 that was seen as the first attempt to obtain a concensus in the treatment of radiation injuries. The conference was designed to address the important area of the potential treatment of haematopoietic injury, infectious complications and combined injuries, specifically those involving trauma.
