Therapy of Lung Metastases—Contributions to Oncology. Ed. by P. Drings and I. Vogt-Moykopf, pp. viii + 221, 1988 (Karger, Basel), SFr 67, DM 80, US $44.75, £30.50. ISBN 3–8055–4749–8

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

This volume is the outcome of a symposium held in June 1986 designed to provide recommendations for therapy of lung metastases of malignant tumours, but biology, pathology and diagnosis are all well covered before the approached therapy is discussed. I particularly enjoyed the chapter by Schirrmacher (Heidelberg) on experimental approaches in nude mice and other tumour systems, with its useful summary of immunotherapy, and the two lengthy chapters, by one of the editors, on indications and surgical results.
