Soft-tissue sarcoma: neutrons versus photons for post-operative irradiation

Mary Catterall

Department of Radiology, Hammersmith Hospital, London W12 0HS

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

A paper in BJR by Glaholm and Harmer (1988) describes five of my patients. The data on four of them are wrong and misleading. These are serious inaccuracies and I drew attention to them when I was sent a draft of the first paper. I was not sent a further draft and did not know the paper had been revised and resubmitted to your journal.

I would draw your attention to the following wrong data (Tables I, II).

Drs Glaholm and Harmer state that, "in one case excision was incomplete, there being a small-volume macroscopic residium prior to neutron therapy".

Received for publication November 1, 1988.
