Teachers of clinical rheumatology have the great advantage that so much of the eifect of most rheumatic disorders is visible at the bedside or detectable by simple clinical manoeuvres. It is a logical step, therefore, to bring together in atlas form the common and not so common manifestations of joint and other connective-tissue disorders. The authors have, by and large, carried out this task admirably.
