This volume contains the edited proceedings of the 34th Annual Meeting of The German Neurosurgical Society held in 1983. Many of the papers, as for example a good review of "Para-neoplastic Syndromes of the Central Nervous System" by Bolsner, are interesting background reading for neuroradiology and will be particularly useful to those whose research impinges on the main topics of the congress.
