This book is the first in a series with the overall title of Fundamentals of Cancer Management. The editors have, in this volume, set out to provide a detailed and up-to-date overview of radiation therapy planning by drawing on the experience of 28 leading specialists in the field. The first 13 chapters cover such topics as the general physics principles of planning, basic photon dose calculation and dose measurement, the role of computers and cross-sectional information in planning as well as the use of electrons and neutrons in therapy.
