This is volume 8 in the series of monographs published for the European Organization for Research on the Treatment of Cancer who had organized an international symposium on this topic in March 1980 at Montpellier, France. The 35 chapters represent the proceedings of the conference, divided into sections entitled Immune Effects of Radiotherapy, both experimental and clinical; Consequences of Radiation Therapy in the Clinic and Therapeutic Associations. All this represents a lot of medical science but what does it mean?
