This book provides an excellent summary of the state of play with neutrons, protons, helium ions and other nuclei up to argon, and negative pi mesons. The physical and radiobiological properties of all these beams are discussed in considerable detail, together with the clinical results when this is possible. The results presented are remarkably up-todate, especially valuable in such a quickly developing area, with references up to 1979.
