This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

A number of pulmonary abnormalities are associated with the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (McKusick, 1972) including mediastinal emphysema, spontaneous pneumothorax, subpleural vesicles (Mire et al., 1976), tracheobronchiomegaly (Mounier-Kuhn and Meyer, 1949) and severe irreversible obstructive pulmonary disease (Cavanaugh and Cooper, 1976).

This is the first report of transient multiple fluidfilled pulmonary cysts in an infant with the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

B.B., the first-born male infant of unrelated Caucasian parents, presented at the age of 12 weeks with a two-week history of snuffly nose and fever without associated respiratory difficulties. He had been born at 39 weeks gestation following a normal delivery.
