This small book is an account of the papers and discussions, given at a one-day meeting in Madrid, of a number of experts from different disciplines who are interested in glucagon. This is a gastro-intestinal hormone, produced in the pancreatic alpha cells, which was discovered at about the same time as insulin but has attracted interest only comparatively recently.
