Book reviews

B. P. Parker

Introduction to Nuclear Radiation Detectors. By P. J. Ouseph, pp. xii + 194, 1975 (Plenum Press: New York and London), $24.20.

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

The dust cover of this book claims it to be "a complete guide to the operation of radiation counters". Based on a lecture course for science, engineering, medical and dental students it is clearly written at the right level. It opens with a brief survey of nuclear radiations (including neutrons) and their interactions with matter.
