Book review

J. Rotblat

Radiation exposure from consumer products and miscellaneous sources. NCRP Report No. 56, pp. iv + 80, illus., 1977 $4.00.

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

In this technological age man may be exposed to radiation from many sources, quite apart from those frequently discussed: medical procedures, fall-out from weapons tests and nuclear power. The other sources include some familier ones, e.g. television receivers or luminous watches, but also the less known radioactivity in spectacles, dentures, tobacco and fuel for cooking, and X rays from electron microscopes.
