Stability of a linear accelerator with "achromatic" electron beam bending

Third-generation accelerators with 270 deg. "achromatic" electron-beam bending should combine construction with improved stability. Two-year performance records are presented to show that flatness has remained within +/-1 per cent with the first production model of the Radiation Dynamics "Dynaray-4" accelerator installed in Cardiff.
