Evaluation of acetabular anteversion following total hip arthroplasty: necessity of proper centring

To assess accurately the degree of anteversion of the acetabular component following total hip arthroplasty, the radiologist must obtain a view with the central ray directed over the hip, and not rely solely on frontal views of the pelvis.
