"Unity of radiology"

Giulio De Giuli

Istituto di Radiologia, University of Florence, Florence, Italy

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

Article II of the Statute of the European Association of Radiology* states that one of the aims of the Association is "to maintain the unity of Radiology".

This "Unity of Radiology" is one of the arguments put forward by most Italian university professors who oppose the separation of radiodiagnosis and radiotherapy in the University and who wish to maintain the status quo, although separation has taken place already in some nonteaching hospitals.
