T. J. Deeley

A Concise Textbook of Radiotherapy. By P. A. Barnes and D. J. Rees, pp. 384, illus., 1972 (London, Faber & Faber), £7.

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

The authors, a radiotherapist and a physicist respectively, have attempted to write a textbook suitable for radiographers, medical students, post-graduate doctors, and physicists. It is more than a textbook of radiotherapy because it covers such basic details of malignant disease as aetiology, pathology, symptomatology and diagnosis as well as other treatment techniques. A brief description is given of a radiation technique in general use for each site chosen.
