B. Kendall

Acute Hemiplegias and Hemisyndromes in Childhood. By Werner Isler, pp. vi + 314 (illus.), 1971 (London Spastics International Medical Publications), £4·80.

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

Stimulated by the lack of exact knowledge of the causes in many individual cases of acute hemisyndromes presenting in childhood and hence the inability to apply logical therapy in such cases, the author analysed the clinical, laboratory, radiological and, where applicable, the autopsy findings in 116 such patients, most of which had been carefuly investigated and many of which had been followed personally for many years.
