The table of tissue correction factors for linear radium sources which was published in 1964 (Batho and Young) has been revised on the basis of new measurements which have been reported of the ratio of exposure in water to exposure in air. Table I is an abridged version of the revised table^*.

The original table was based on measurements made by Wootton, Shalek and Fletcher (1954).
