An enormous amount of work on the gall-bladder has been done since the introduction of cholecystography by Graham and Cole. The book by Eisler and Kopstein, based on vast personal experience and on thorough knowledge of the literature, gives a very concise summary of our present knowledge of the normal and pathological gall-bladder.
