P. Vuorinen, M.D. and U. Wegelius, M.D.

Department of Radiology, University Central Hospital, Turku, Finland

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

In connection with intravenous pyelography, the changes in the size of the kidneys were radiographically studied.

Drinking of 600 to 1,000 c.c. juice did not significantly affect the radiological kidney size of 16 persons, whereas a intravenous glucose drip, where 500 c.c. of 5 per cent glucose were administered in 10 to 15 minutes, caused a statistically significant increase in the kidney size in 13 persons.
