This publication is a report on the proceedings of a symposium held in the Medical Division, Oak Ridge for five days during October, 1962. As can be judged from the list of over 150 participants (most of whom were medically qualified) and the recorded discussion the symposium afforded an opportunity for detailed exchange of data and ideas on many aspects of scanning, both technical and clinical.
