Review

L. F. Lamerton

Effects of Ionizing Radiation on the Digestive System. By I. T. Kurtsin, 1963 (Amsterdam/London/New York, Elsevier Publishing Company).

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

This book is essentially a report of original work on whole-body irradiation of dogs carried out by Professor Kurtsin and his colleagues in Leningrad, and in the Foreword the author says the research "has been conducted in conformity with the general theory of I. P. Pavlov on higher nervous activity and the teaching of K. M. Bykov on functional interrelations between the cerebral cortex and the internal organs".
