Arterial Impressions on the Renal Pelvis

Louis Kreel, M.B., M.R.C.P., D.M.R.D. and Roger Pyle, M.B., M.R.C.P.E., D.M.R.D.E.

Westminster Hospital, London, S.W.1

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

Vascular indentations on the renal pelvis are commonly seen on excretion urograms but are not commonly recognised as such. Confirmatory evidence of the mode of formation of these shadows is presented from the study of 50 recent aortograms and their significance evaluated. Complete filling of the pelvis by compression or on retrograde pyelography tends to obliterate these impressions.

Received for publication February 1, 1962.
