I was interested to see that Oliver and Lajtha discussed the possible radiotherapeutic use of radiation sensitising agents in their paper on radiosensitivity in mixed cell populations (October, 1961, p. 659). I feel, however, that they use their undoubtedly correct mathematical analysis to convey a falsely pessimistic impression of the possible value of sensitising agents.
