The demonstration of a phaeochromocytoma is not an easy task and various methods have been employed. Aortography for the purpose has not found favour in this country and a search of the English literature reveals no reported case.
If the tumour has a good vascular supply then an aortogram should outline it satisfactorily and working on this assumption I decided to perform an aortogram in this first suspected case with which I was presented.
