The Amalgamation of the Institute of Physics and the Physical Society

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

The incorporation of a new body on May 17, under the name of "The Institute of Physics and The Physical Society", marks the fulfilment of the desire expressed by the overwhelming majority of the members of the Institute and Society that the "necessary action" should be taken to implement the scheme for amalgamation prepared by a Joint Committee. The originating bodies will shortly be formally wound up and their assets handed over to the new one.
