Radiography of the Larynx in the Postero-Anterior Projection

Radiography of the larynx in the anteroposterior projection is usually performed by tomography, the technique requiring a relatively long exposure time (0·5–1·0 second). Rethi's method (1912), which utilises a small film inserted into the hypopharynx, is not in general use. The following technique has been found useful.
