A New X-ray Camera, f0·75, for 7 x 7 cm. Film*

A. Bouwers, D.Sc.

"De Oude Delft", N.V. Optische Industrie, Delft, Holland{dagger}

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

A new optical mirror system, different from the Schmidt system, has enabled the author to design a camera to produce 7 x 7 cm. pictures of very high quality on the 40 x 40 cm. screen. The unusually high aperture ratio of 1 : 0·75 of the optical system reduces exposure times to little more than those applied with the usual technique of the full-size picture. Description of the optical system, of the camera itself, and of essential accessories, are the subject of the paper.

* Paper read at the 6th International Congress of Radiology, London, July 1950.

{dagger} This camera is marketed by the above-mentioned firm as the ODELCA camera.
