With the death of René Ledoux-Lebard, French medicine has lost one of its most prominent radiologists.
Born in Paris in 1879, he became, as a medical student at the Hospital Saint-Antoine in Paris, interested in radiology as early as 1901, under the guidance of Antoine Béclère, a close friend of his father, who himself was a distinguished scientist and member of the Institut Pasteur.
