This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.
This is a book that will be of value to all those concerned with the study and use of X rays. In the preface the author says, "The knowledge that has been accumulated about these rays, and the ways in which they have been applied for the benefit of mankind during the past fifty years, comprise the broad subject which we have tried to present to the reader within the confines of a volume of ordinary size." He achieves this object extremely well in a most readable text.
