A Case of Secondary Amœbiasis of the Lung

Captain William Campbell

R.A.M.C., Radiologist to a British General Hospital

This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.

(1) A case is described of pulmonary amœbic abscesses resulting from the rupture of an hepatic abscess.

(2) The pulmonary abscesses developed a bronchial fistula causing secondary infection and death.

(3) Co-existence of tuberculosis was established.

(4) An attempt to correlate the radiological and pathological findings in the lung shows the difficulty of determining the ætiology and the age of the lesions of such a case radiologically.
