This excerpt was created in the absence of an abstract.
A method is described whereby the quality of "tissue" radiations in radium therapy may be estimated from the ratio of the ionisations produced in ionisation chambers, of materials having different atomic numbers.
Using the method, a study has been made of the quality of the tissue radiations for various conditions approximating to those used in therapy. The results and their implications are discussed. The results show that elektron metal ionisation chambers should be quite satisfactory for the measurement of depth radiations in radium teletherapy.
Received for publication November 30, 1938.
