(a) A section through the mid-thorax reveals sternal erosion by a lesion in the chest wall. An extrapleural component is seen to abut the pericardium. (b) A section 10 mm caudal to the previous image reveals uniform thickening of the pericardium, which is a striking finding in this patient.
