Figure 1. Non-enhanced CT, 2 years prior to hospital admission, shows a 3 x 4 cm² encapsulated tumour in the anterior mediastinum containing a cystic configuration, soft tissue and a spherical fatty component. The tumour margin is smooth. These CT features are diagnostic of cystic teratoma.
